At home in the Calva.
Bypass the revolving glass door. Skip the stuffy hotel. Come home to the Calva. Enter through a homey, private entrance, where you’ll be greeted with a warm handshake. Kick off your shoes and relax in an intimate, cosy setting. Simple, yet effortlessly charming. A table, a comfortable chair, first-class food; these are the ingredients for your perfect stay at the Calva. Indulge in your own home-away-from-home in Vinschgau, South Tyrol.
Second generation and first rate.
Elsa and Thomas Alber built the Calva in 1982. They passed the house down to us, daughter Elisabeth and husband Norbert in 2005. The Calva is our passion, and we take pride and joy in sharing our heritage with you. Hospitality is our tradition, and there is always something new to discover at the Calva. The diversity of South Tyrol—and our daughter’s imagination—serve as our inspiration to provide our visitors with a magical yet familiar experience. Arrive as our guests, leave as our family.
Animal lovers can meet Elisabeth’s brother Roman by a visit to his veterinary office in Laatsch and her other brother Klaus in the Boutique Hotel Miramonti in Hafling.
Calva. Another side of South Tyrol.
You arrive as a welcome guest and feel at home right away. We take pleasure in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where our guests relax and savour the moment. The same can be said for our locally famous pizzeria. We draw from our regional culinary culture and create deliciously modern, melt-in-your-mouth cuisine that keeps the locals and our visitors coming back for more. Our food is traditional yet modern, influenced by our local culture but made to suit your individual taste. Uncomplicated, traditional, and delicious. Just the way you like it.
