Sightseeing in Laatsch
The village idyll offers you a lot: the St. Leonard church and the St. Luzius parish church are well worth to see. In the first one, an imposing winged altarpiece from the 15th century, built by the skilled hands of Hans Schnatterpeck, and the quality frescos on it enchant the fans of Gothic. Culture and nature fans go along the Stundenweg, a trail connecting Engadin in Switzerland with Vinschgau in South Tyrol and leads from Marienberg abbey to St. Johann convent in Val Müstair. The secret of the Stundenweg is to pursue it in peace and sensitivity, which can enable quite a special border crossing. You should also visit the Sandbichler mills, that are set back into operation following careful renovation, as well as the Laatsch Museum exhibiting many tools and utensils from the past.
